And by winter wonderland, I mean frozen wasteland.

And by wasteland, I mean icy playground of the sublime.

This is the frozen surface of the Penobscot River. It divides the twin metropolises of Bangor and Brewer, Maine. I had the pleasure of spending some time on its frigid shores over winter break, and the bonus opportunity of trespassing on various disused bridges above its cracked and crackling surface.
